Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has announced a partnership with the Mastercard payment system, which will simplify the mechanism for buying non-fungible tokens (NFTs). In the near future, the trading platform will add the ability to pay for the purchase of NFT tokens with Mastercard bank cards. Coinbase believes that this will allow a wider range of consumers to buy NFTs.

In October 2021, Coinbase launched its own marketplace for non-fungible tokens, which allows you to create, sell and buy NFT tokens on the Ethereum blockchain (ERC-721 and ERC-1155 standards). In the future, the exchange plans to add support for other blockchains.

In April 2021, Coinbase became the world’s first public crypto exchange – it listed on NASDAQ (without an IPO procedure). At the peak, the value of the company’s shares reached $429.5 per share, then they began to become cheaper. As of January 18, 18:05 Moscow time, the price of securities of the first public crypto exchange is $225 per share.
