Hollywood is getting serious about the NFT
Often considered one of the Big Four agencies in Hollywood along with CAA and others, talent agency WME has just signed Bored Ape Yacht Club DJ duo ESCAPΞPLAN for all future bookings. The pseudonymous duo’s personalities are represented by their NFT Bored Ape.
NFTs are unique blockchain tokens that exist on a network like Ethereum and signify ownership of an asset like Bored Ape. ESCAPΞPLAN consists of bored monkeys #309 and #4321, who go by the aliases zETH and ETHan respectively. Yuga Labs, the creator of Bored Apes, is known for its non-restrictive intellectual property policy allowing Bored Ape owners to use their NFTs for commercial purposes.

News of the signing comes shortly after electronic musician Dillon Francis announced he would accept Bored Ape #378 as part of a deal with Big Night Entertainment, which owns several nightclubs and operates ESCAPΞPLAN.
Later this year, the duo Bored Ape will be releasing some songs with Francis, who recently told Decrypt in an interview that all ESCAPΞPLAN video content will be animated and will include a lot of Bored Apes. According to Big Night Entertainment’s Tim Bonito, ESCAPΞPLAN’s recent music video for “Jungle” featuring rapper Rich the Kid features 88 NFT Bored Ape.
