Samsung Group enters the NFT market

Marketing agency Cheil Worldwide, part of the Samsung Group, will be the first company in South Korea to enter the NFT market. The company plans not only to create NFT collections, but also to launch, first of all, its own marketplace. The NFT market has been reactivated since the recent presidential election was won by a supporter of cryptocurrencies and the NFT space.

Cheil Worldwide is already actively hiring in the field of blockchain technologies. In addition, as part of its initiative, the company plans to collaborate with Studio Dragons, an entertainment company.

Samsung’s parent company also announced the introduction of NFT to its TV lineup last month.

Some experts have calculated that the market of South Korea, Central, South and East Asia accounts for about 37% of the world traffic on the OpenSea NFT marketplace. They also stated that interest in NFT among residents of these regions will only grow, and sales could skyrocket by a hundred times.
