Free NFTs will be distributed to all Super Bowl attendees

The NFL is giving away free NFTs to all Super Bowl attendees. This is done in an attempt to make the day more memorable for those attending the event on Sunday. In addition, advertising of cryptocurrency companies will be placed at the event.

About free NFTs for the Super Bowl

The NFL and Ticketmaster are going to give free NFTs to Super Bowl attendees. At the Rams vs Bengals match, fans will receive a virtual NFT ticket, much like a POAP (Attendance Confirmation Protocol). In addition to these NFT commemorative tickets, the NFL plans to sell a series of seven historic NFT commemorative tickets each day from Feb. 6 through Feb. 13.

Venue: SoFi Stadium has a capacity of 70,240 spectators, so theoretically this is the number of NFTs that will be given out. However, not all of them will be in demand, so there will be fewer of them, making these NFTs rarer.

Of course, this isn’t the first time the NFL and Ticketmaster have worked together to release an NFT, they recently released multiple NFTs for several regular season games this year.

The popularity of NFT tickets comes from the collection of ticket stubs from major events. Recently, in December, a physical spine from Michael Jordan’s NBA debut sold at auction for $264,000. It broke the record for the most expensive collectible sports ticket ever sold.

About the Super Bowl

Sunday next week, February 13, the Cincinnati Bengals will face the Los Angeles Rams in the biggest game in American football, the Super Bowl. The game will take place, interestingly, at the Rams’ home stadium: SoFi Stadium. But the Bengals will officially be considered the home team thanks to a random decision. At the famous halftime show, we’ll see an all-star line-up of Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar. The Los Angeles Rams are the favorites to win this evening, but of course anything can happen.
