Armando Christian Perez, better known as rapper Pitbull (aka Mr. 305), is the latest celebrity to switch to NFT tokens in a “multi-year deal” with NFT’s OneOf music platform, CEO Lin Dai said. The financial side remained undisclosed.

The signing underlines OneOf’s aggressive commitment to meeting the music label’s needs for NFT. Backed by seasoned music producer Quincy Jones, OneOf joined in to support digital collectibles for the Grammy early next year. OneOf is likely betting on the impact of a brand that crosses borders with its deal with Pitbull, a multi-hit international artist. Sources said Latin America was one of the initiators in bringing Perez to work.
At this point in the deal, Pitbull personifies OneOf, although he may soon be launching his own NFTs. Crypto projects have received tremendous support among celebrities through 2021, especially through partnerships with athletes, actors, and even astronauts.
While US astronaut Scott Kelly tweeted Crypto.com promotions in October, Sam Bankman-Fried’s FTX trade empire has been most active on the Ambassador front – attracting soccer star Tom Brady, basketball star Steph Curry and, more recently, baseball Shohei Okhtani.
