The developers of the SketchAR service offer to draw a picture using augmented reality technologies right on the smartphone screen for free, tokenize it and sell it in NFT format on the marketplace.
SketchAR has modes for drawing on vertical and horizontal surfaces. Augmented reality technologies and a virtual assistant empower inexperienced users and allow people to achieve results without knowledge of the visual arts.
The created virtual painting, according to the assurances of the developers, can be tokenized in the application and then put up for sale in NFT format for free and sold all over the world. The company plans to launch its own marketplace in the fourth quarter of 2021.
SketchAR is based in Vilnius, the company was founded in 2016 by Russian Andrey Drobitko. In June 2021, SketchAR patented markerless computer vision tracking technology. The technology allows the user to scan the environment and capture a virtual image on a real surface (outdoors or indoors).
